SUMMARY:implemented an awareness session on solid waste management
DESCRIPTION:Al-Ribat Development Association\, in coordination with the Municipality of Beit El-Foqs\, implemented an awareness session on solid waste management for young men and women in Beit El-Foqs. The session was held in the presence of the Mayor\, members of the Municipal Council\, and the village mukhtars. It included group work activities for the youth and a presentation of five environmental initiatives. \nThe presentation was taken from the RAMAL project\, implemented by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in unions of municipalities across Lebanon.

DESCRIPTION:Residents of the city were treated to an unforgettable surprise on Saturday night as Riverside Park transformed into a glowing wonderland during the first-ever Midnight Lantern Festival. What began as a small community art project quickly turned into a magical nighttime celebration\, drawing hundreds of visitors from across the city. \nColorful handmade lanterns floated along the river and hung from trees\, casting reflections across the water. Local musicians performed acoustic sets\, while food stalls stayed open late serving warm drinks and street snacks. Many attendees described the atmosphere as “peaceful\,” “dreamlike\,” and “straight out of a movie.” \nOrganizers say the festival was created to encourage creativity\, community connection\, and safe nighttime use of public spaces. Due to the overwhelming response\, plans are already underway to make the festival an annual tradition.
